Maybe, just maybe, there is a link between these facts. Why? Because most web sites are put together by techies and graphic designers that have no real idea of what makes a visitor want to buy. The Answer? It's simple. Words Sell. Not fancy graphics, not flash intros, not clever animated banners and not 3d walk throughs. Words. Don't believe me? Try this test. Already got a web site? Not making any money? Look at your site (if you don't have a site try this exercise for any other site you know well). Take away the graphics. Do the words alone make a compelling reason to buy. Maybe, maybe not. Now take away the words. Could your graphics alone persuade anyone to buy? Almost certainly not. Words sell.
